MEETING OF: CARLSBAD MUNICIPAL WATER DISTRICT BOARD
AND CARLSBAD CITY COUNCIL (Joint Special Meeting)
DATE OF MEETING: August 27,2013
TIME OF MEETING: 4:30 p.m.
PLACE OF MEETING: City Hall Conference Room 3,1200 Carlsbad Village Drive, Carlsbad,
California
CALL TO ORDER: President/Mayor Hall called the meeting to order at 4:30 p.m.
ROLL CALL was taken by the Deputy Secretary/Deputy City Clerk, as follows:
Present: Board/Council Members Hall, Packard, Wood, Blackburn and Douglas.
Absent: None.
PUBUC COMMENT ON AGENDA ITEM:
None.
CLOSED SESSION:
Board/Council adjourned into Closed Session at 4:32 p.m. pursuant to the following:
1. GOVERNMENT CODE SECTION 54956.9(b). To hold a closed session to discuss anticipated
litigation by Leucadia Water District.
RECONVENE:
The Board/Council reconvened at 5:45 p.m. with five members present. President/Mayor Hall
announced that Board/Council met in closed session at 4:30 p.m. to discuss one item. The
Board/Council deliberated on what is In the best Interests ofthe City and its citizens but took no final
action. Final action, when taken, will be reported out at a subsequent meeting.
ADJOURNMENT:
By proper motion, the Joint Special Meeting of August 27, 2013 was adjourned at 5:47 p.m.
