Minutes of: PARKS AND RECREATION COMMISSION

CALL TO ORDER
Vice Chairperson Craig called the Regular Meeting to order at 5:40 p.m.
ROLL CALL
Present: Commissioners Craig, Martyns, Meenes, and Simons
Absent: Commissioners Proulx, Rudick Stein, and Withall
ANNOUNCEMENTS
None.
APPROVAL OF MINUTES
Postponed the approval of the October 15, 2012 minutes until next commission
meeting due to a lack of a quorum of commissioners who were present at the
October 15th meeting.
PRESENTATIONS
None.
CONSENT CALENDAR
1. AB# 1112-1 COMMISSION SUMMARY REPORT - (ACTION)
Postponed the approval of the October 15, 2012 summary report until next
commission meeting due to a lack of a quorum of commissioners who were
present at the October 15th meeting.
DEPARTMENTAL REPORTS
2. AB # 1112-2 ELECTION OF COMMISSION OFFICERS (ACTION)
The Commission solicited nominations and elect Commission Officers (Chairperson
and Vice Chairperson) for the 2013 calendar year.
ACTION: After nomination and a vote by the Commission, Commissioner
Proulx was reelected as Chairperson of the Parks and
Recreation Commission for 2013 calendar year. After
nomination and a vote by the Commission, Commissioner Craig
was reelected as Vice Chairperson for 2013 calendar year.
AYES: Commissioners Craig, Martyns, Meenes, and Simons
NOES: None
ABSTAIN: None
ABSENT: Commissioners Proulx, Rudick Stein, and Withall
Parks and Recreation Commission - 2 - November 30, 2012
COMMITTEE/CITY COUNCIL REPORTS
Opportunity Grants Subcommittee - Commissioner Simons reported that the
subcommittee met and will meet on a regular monthly basis. They plan to target
people who are currently utilizing Parks & Recreation services to solicit donations.
The next meeting will be held December 17*^ 2012.
