COMMISSION MEETING SUMMARY REPORT.

PUBLIC OPEN FORUM
Jason Martel, a Carlsbad resident addressed the Commission on a topic not on the
agenda. Mr. Martel spoke in favor of bringing to Carlsbad a bike park.

2. AB # 1214-2 APPOINTMENT OF REPRESENTATIVE TO SERVE ON THE COMMUNITY
ACTIVITY GRANTS CITIZEN REVIEW COMMITTEE -(ACTION)
Commissioner Ron Withal!, current representative, was appointed to continue his
service on the Community Activity Grants Citizen Review Committee for one more year.
Commissioner Rudick Stein addressed the Commission as to defining the goal of the
Committee and making the Community more aware of their purpose and achievements.
She suggested the Commission add this item to a future meeting agenda.

3. AB # 1214-3 ELECTION OF OFFICERS-(ACTION)
The Commission will solicit nominations and elect Commission Officers (Chairperson and
Vice Chairperson) for the 2015 calendar year.

After nomination and a vote by the Commission, Vice Chairman Simons
was elected as Chairperson of the Parks and Recreation Commission
for the 2015 calendar year. After nomination and a vote by the
Commission, Commissioner Withal! was elected as Vice Chairperson for
the 2015 calendar year.
