PRESENTATIONS
Interim Parks & Recreation Director Kyle Lancaster presented a certificate of
appreciation to Commissioner Rudick-Stein for her service on the commission from
2011 -2019.

PUBLIC COMMENT .
Linda Schlesinger, a Carlsbad resident requested an update on the Monroe St. Pool
renovation project and requested public input during the planning process. She mentioned
how she appreciated the response from staff to a previous public comment regarding the
status of the park project for the Buena Vista Reservoir site. Ms. Schlesinger indicated a floor

drain at the pool facility had been recently cleared, but could have been addressed sooner.
She praised staff's response during an accidental bumping of swimmers that occurred at the
pool. She complimented staff on the successful Triathlon event on July 14, 2019.

Chief Innovation Officer David Graham worked with Commissioners facilitating the work
plan process for the 2019-20 Fiscal Year.
