HomeMy WebLinkAbout1960-12-27; Planning Commission; Minutes1- 2- 3- 4- 5- '- , C' 0 December 27, 1960 The meeting was cqlled to order at 7:30 2.F. by Chairman Jarvie. :present besides the Chairman were Cormissioners Davis, Hardwick, Kistler and Ward Absent, Commissioners Grant and Hughes. Approval of Minutes of December 13, 1960, It was moved by Commissioner Davis and seconded by Commissioner Ward that the minutes of December 13, 1960 be approved as submitted, All ayes, motion carried, Written Communications: There were no written comunications. Oral Communications: There were no oral communications. HEARING - VARIANCE - Request of Verne E. and Barbara A. Geissinger for a variance for reduction in front footage from 60 ft. to 59.87 ft in order to dreate a lot split on property described as a portion of Cedar Hills Addition to the Town of Carlsbad, according to a Map thereof No. 532; said property being a portion of Parcel 8, Book 35 , Page 530 of the Assessor's Map of San Diego County. Notice of hearing was read. The Secretary certified as to publication of notice of hearing and the mailing of notices to property owners in the area. The Secretary read the application setting forth the reasons for the request €or variance. There was no correspondence on this matter. There were two additional plats accompany ids- a.pg1lbat:i.h: which the Secretary showed to the Commissioners so that it would be clear to them what the ap- plicant proposed to do. He further explained that this property is right across the street from the subdivision that the Geissingers are developing with Allnav, MR. VERNE GEISSINGER, 900 Adella Avenue, Coronado, was present but stated that he had nothing further to add to his request for this variance. There was no one present to oppose the granting of this variance. The public hearing was closed at 7:40. A motion was made by Conmissioner Ward and seconded by Conmissioner Hardwick that Resolution No. 192 be adopted granting the request for variance for the following reasons: 1. That the granting of such variance will not be materially detrimental to the public welfare or injurious to the property or improvements in such vicinity and zone in which the property is located. 2. That the granting of such variance will not adversely affect the corn- prehensive general plan. 3. There were no objections or protests to the granting of this variance. -2- The Chairman asked for a roll call vote. AYES: Chairman Jarvie, Commissioners Davis, Hardwick, Kistler and Ward. NOES: None ABSENT: Commissioners Grant and Hughes. Resolution No. 192 adopted. 6- Old Business: There was no old bus8nesa. 7- New Business: There was no new business. 8- By propertmation the meeting was adjourned at 7:45. Respectfully submitted, 3.
