:Planting of trees - Harding Street Development, i
:Mr. Thornton explained that the City's ordinance ! ion subdivision provides that a subdivider plant !street trees subject to the approval of the city ; :or to make a reasonable deposit with the City for i jfuture tree planting, Lately the subdividers :have preferred to make a deposit with the City .. i jand have it plant the trees. He explained that i :at the present time they are 251 trees behind in ; :planting in seven subdivisions, and there is the :prospect of four. mme subdivisions going in, He : :has made a recommendation to the City Manager :that the City does not have enough staff to keep i !up with the tree planting and that it would !either have to be contracted out or have the sub- i :divider plant the trees subject to the approval i ;of the City, I I

Commissipner Lamb submitted what he thought a Master Plan should consist of, and the Commission! reviewed'portions of the Orange Master Plan, and : portion of the La Verne Master Plan, I *

I I Commissioner Lamb was granted tain a report on a Master DMJM has made. I I
The Commission felt there was a need to review i these reports and to study the City themselves : and to have another study session before meeting with DMJM. Each of the Commissioners is to bring: back written notes or questions on their findings; to the study session.
