I I :;'I;: I 1 I I :;::;; 1I:;l~ !The Chairman expressed a desire to have the report on i :l;lal :the Calaveras Lake added to the Parks and ftecreation re- ; ::;I;: :i:i:i !port and felt the Transportation Committee report should i :::a :be revised as they referred to page numbers and the page ;I,::: I1 :numbers would be different in the DMJM final report. I I IIIII1 :I!::: I I I :a;::: :Mr. Neal explained that the preliminary report was made f :I;::: 1l,'l@ :by Kenneth Norwood and he hoped to prepare this in a I I ::;:;: :shorter form. The report will contain studies and analysid? l8l:;: ::;I !diagrams and descriptive reports. If after the hearings ; ;::j:: :the City wants to add or change something, the page could i!:;:; :be inserted in the front of the report, but the old page I ::ii:: 01 I1 kould not be removed. The Commissioners were opposed !to this. I I :p::: I I I I :::::; ' :'Il !Mr. Neal pointed out that the Commission may not agree ;I I:::: . Fith all the points that will be brought up. I I I I: I&:!:: 4 I I 1 :::;;; :The Chairman stated that he would like to keep the commit: ::i;:: I@ !tee reports with the DMJM report and did not want to change ;:'I:: :them except for a portion of one of the minority reports i ;::::: khzt dealt in personalities. He requested a shorter report : ::;::: $n a more workable form and then have addendums and ;::;Il I: Ritizens reports added in back to give the public a shorter ; ;:I::; bummary for review before the public hearings in April or i ,;;::a Ill:;; yay. I I i:::1: ;!::I: !Mr. Neal explained that the contract ends April 25, 1965, but they do have a 90 day grace period as far as the State : :*I1 ,*I::: Ss concerned. I ;::1:1 There was discussion on having meetings on regular meet- : ing nights or on sepatgte nights. I :After further discussion, Mr. Neal agreed to send a car- Ibon copy of a typewritten report to the Recording Secretarf :and the Chairman agreed to have copies made for the Comt ! mission, Counci1,City Manager, City Attorney and the I :press, making a total of about 20 copies. The Chairman : jagreed to assume the responsibility of having this report i ;typed or copies made. He felt that the Commission was : jnot opposed to the drafts and tables made in the present I :preliminary report. I !Mr. Neal stated that he did not believe the May Company ; jwould have come into the City if there was not a Master i :Plan being made of the City. He explained that the law re-: !quires that every City adopt a general plan, however, no i :penal provisions has been made if the City does not adopt : !one. He pointed out that Pomona adopted their general :plan by resolution using it as a guide and as applications : :come in public hearings are held on that portion. He felt i :it was better to accept the general plan and hold public I :There was discussion on the average salary paid a planner; I I I I 1 I I I 1 I I /- !hearings on it and adopt it by ordinance.
