MEETING OF: PLANNING COMMISSION DATE : May 8, 1976 TIME: 9:00 A.M. PLACE: COUNCIL CHAMBERS
CALL TO ORDER
The meeting was called to order at 9:05.a.m.
ROLL CALL
Commissioner Dominguez arrived at 9:45 a.m.
Chairman L'Heureux called the mee'ting to order and turned the meeting over to the Planning Director for discussion of and outline for the scheduled La Costa Field Trip.
The Planning Director outlined the intent of the' Agendi and purpose of the Field Trip as a familiarization of the La Costa area (approximately 6,000 acres or + of the City of Carlsbad Planning Area). He introduced Mr Fred Morey, Vice President for Governmental Affairs, L; Costa Land Company, and Mr. Bob Ladwig, Rick Engineer- ing, as repre,sentatives of La Costa.
Also in attendance were League of Women Voters repre- sentatives, Mrs. Mignon Bowen, Mrs. Thelma Hayes- and Mrs. .Ruth Honnold. Also in att'endance was Rick Monroe

The meeting was recessed at 9:35 and reconvened at 9:4! at the La Costa Shopping Center.
The tour included a review.of the southern portion of La Costa, its features, resources, parks and approved proposed developments generally south of the' La Costa
. Golf Course and San Marcos Canyon.
The afternoon session included an overview of the .features, resources, etc. north of the golf,course and canyon including the area known as La Costa North.
The Field Trip and meeting was adjourned a't 1:50.p.m.
