The Minutes of May 11 , 1977 were 'approved with 'the follawing corrections: caranissioner Watson made the mti of appmval on PUD-8/CT 77-2 on Page 8 and the spelling of. Mr. Banche' s name is corrected on Page 7. It was referred back to staff to incorporate the change that will allm R-V storage are+ to be planned with the mster plan in a PC zone. Therefore, if a planmd developmnt is provided or is applied for in a PC zone, and a PC zone has a master plan-that has already accamodated R-V ,storage, then the PUD -ts could be net with the master plan. The property in the area now zoned residential is in direct conflict with the General plan. The city may kstarting soqn an the Local coastal plan, and part of this plan will take in the NRR area. She inquired if this blding zone would affect her interests in any way. It is listed as residential, 10 units to the acre. Mr. Bud Plender said th@rk were tw3 swts named Seviligi' Way. in Carlsbad. 'The me lpted in the Iaguna area was named'in about 1972. This street has 32 single family residents on it. At a later date the City annexed La Costa and picked up another street by that narrre. Sevilla Way in La Costa has 12 fartilies living in duplexes, three houses under construction and 20 undeveloped lots. Staff has reacamu3nded that the street in La Costa be renamed to Sacada Circle although there are other suggested names in the the staff 'report. Police and Fire feel strongly that for the safety of the citizens, orre of the street ninnes mst - be changed. Ccnanissiosrer L'Heureux agrees that one s-t nam should be danced Bnd that the cokrect street had been chosen, but he could not vote for the name "Sacada CircL A mtion was made to approve SNC 111-2 for reasons outlined in the staff report. F?esolution No. 1370. e l follawing street name change: Velero court to Pueblo street. Mr. Bud Plender presented the staff report.Nobody, lives on this street at this tin-e. The strket name is in conflict with the street nams Bolero Court. The property amer suggested the name Pueblo Street. A mtion was mde to approve SNC VI changing the name of Velero Court to Pueblo Street as reconmended by staff. .. (6)' Case No.. Mr. Plerider asked the Carmissioners $0 ask &stions or make mts. staff will replv on -I June 22nd. Dana Whitson, Aksistant,Planner, was called on to answer any questions the Planning camnission my have at this time. coarmissioner Jose said he had mti& that staff had I taken action on those replies such as San Diego Gas ' ' and Electric regarding the gas mains. On Page 6 there i a typgraphical error where the mrd is "school" and should be "pool. Bud Plender presented the staff report. The City has recently adopted a new zone - Ccmercial Tourist - which will Wlement the tourish service category of the General Plan. This property is located at Elm and the freeway. while it is currently zoned C-2, this area has my uses; approximately half is ccarmercial ad the balance is residential. It will probably shy residentia:. until it is developed as.a total uriit. All of the uses except for a real estate office muld fit in the CT zone. . * Staff is reccmnending a CI"Q. zone. MYTICN X (8) Resolution of Intention No. 154, ZC-195, CT Zone - , Rapest for approval to conduct a public hearing to consider recarmeding to City Council a reclassification in zone on properties in the City of Carlsbad from C-2 arad R-3 to CT. m, plender said this request is located on Carlsbad Blvd. - Lincoln Street, Pine Avenue. It is in tm . sections. The first section is the portion zoned C-2 and directly on Carlsbad Blvd. Section B is presently ' zoned R-3. Even though it is zoned R-3 it is an integral part of the c-2 property as some of the motels . etc. extend into the B section. -. - ..
