Bill Hofman, Principal Planner, gave the presentation on this item, using a transparency to show the location of the streets, basically as contained in the staff report. camdssioner Jose asked if Palmer would extend to El Clwnino Real and staff answered it would not. Ccmnissioner Marcus asked about Palnor Court and it was explained this was a private street. 'Ille people in La Costa weni upset because this street was renoved from the maps. It was determined this llll!ltter was not before the Ccnniseioo this evening. Olairman Schlehuber q>erled the public hearing at 7:07 p.m. and issued the invitatioo to speak. Bill Hofman, Principal Planner, gave the presentation a, this item, using t ransparencies showing the original plan and the revised plan, as rontained in the staff report. CCl'rmissioner Marcus expressed concern atout the condition of the back portion of the property, as any unkel'll)t area would be highly visible fran El Camino Real. In response to a questioo, City Engineer Roy Kackley stated the existing Inpala Way cul--<'le-sac would not necessarily be the end of the street; the street will end o::,wn at what was Los Monos and Faraday. rtle Conmission discussed the name Goldenbear Court, and the possibility of a name change for that street. Olairman Schlehuber announced this was not a public hearing, but if the awlicant wished to address the CCl'rmissioo, he oould make a present -~ion. Mr. Russell Werdin, Jr., Werdin Developnent Conpany, 3151 Airway Avenue, Costa Mesa, addressed the Comnissioo, and showed a map of the proposed project. He explained there would be a berm to hide the parked oars fran the bottan of the canyoo. He stated the buildings would be placed to give a canyon view to the workers Md poosibly a view of the reservoir. rtle hope was this would appeal to scientific-type businesses.
