AGREEMENT WITH CITY OF VISTA FOR MEAL PREPARATION
Sue Spickard, gave the report on this item, statin
this agreement must be approved by this Commissio before submittal to Counci 1.
Senior Citizen Commission approved the Agreement with City of Vista for Meal Preparation.
AREA AGENCY ON AGING BUDGET - March 1 - June 30, 1987
Sue Spickard reported this budget must be approve by this Commission before submittal to Council. The budget has been negotiated with the AAA.
Senior Citizen Commission approved the AAA Budget for March 1 - June 30, 1987.
AREA AGENCY ON AGING BUDGET - July 1, 1987 - June 30, 1988
Sue Spickard reported this budget has been
neaotiated with AAA.
Senior Citizen Commission approved the AAA Budget
for July 1, 1957 - June 30, 1988 as submitted.
JOINT CITY COUNCIL/COMMISSION EEETING:
Chairman Van gave the order of business to be
followed for the Joint Meeting with City Council this evening.
Sue Spickard read her report giving an update of
Senior activities in the past, present and planne for the future. She explained transparencies would be used to demonstrate the original contrac with the City and the one in effect at the presen time, listing activities covered. Another trans- parency will be-used to show the future and a question mark.

Chairman Van would then be introduced and he woull introduce the Commissioners. Chairman Van would then review the achievements of the Commission
since its inception, and talk about the new dutie! assumed by the City. He would conclude his portic
of the meeting by mentioning the long-range goals of the Commission, including in that concerns about transportation, more recreational programs, low-cost senior housing, adult day care facilitie!
and the Commission's role in planning for the new Senior Center.
The Commissioners expressed the desire to be a part of the planning for the new Center and to be very active in deciding activities and program! for that Center. This will be conveyed to Counci'
One other item to be discussed with Council will be communication between Council and the Commissii The Commissioners would like to have clarificatioi of their role in bringing recommendations before
Counci 1.
NEXT MEETING :
Sue Spickard announced the Yay Meeting will be cancelled unless the Commissioners have items to discuss following the Joint Meeting with Council.
