Chairman Heard called the meeting to order at 9:00 am.
Commissioners Heard, Chmiel, MacEnery and Whittaker
INCREASE TO SEN IOR DI VISION G RANT BUDGET:
Sue Spickard informed the Commission that the grant award from the San Diego Area
Agency on Aging for this fiscal year was originally $101,494. These funds are utilized to
assist with the costs of operating the Nutrition, Home Delivered Meals, and Transportation
programs.
In April 1993, the Area Agency informed staff that they are increasing the grant award by
$5,255 only for the current fiscal year (92-93). The $5,255 represents a reinstatement of
$3,137 which was taken last fiscal year, and an increase in the U.S.D.A. (United States
Department of Agriculture) reimbursement for meals served.
The funds will be utilized to offset costs (utilities, etc.) of operating the Home Delivered
Meals and Nutrition programs, and to purchase equipment for the programs.
ACTION: On motion by Commissioner Whittaker, the Commission voted to accept the
$5,255 increase to the Senior Division Grant Award for fiscal year 92-93.

at 9:05 am.
