CALL TO ORDER:
Commissioner Whittaker called the Meeting to order at 1 :15 p.m.
ROLL CALL was taken by Sue Spickard, as follows:
Present: Commissioners Chmiel, Serrin, West, Whittaker and Zink.
PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE was led by Chairperson Whittaker.
MATTERS FROM THE PUBLIC
Socorro Anderson, 3432 Don Jose Drive, Carlsbad, CA 92008, addressed the Commission
regarding Project Care.
APPROVAL OF MINUTES:
ACTION: On motion by Commissioner West, Minutes of the Regular Meeting
held November 6, 1997, were unanimously approved as presented.
CONSENT CALENDAR
ACTION: On motion by Commissioner Chmiel, Commission unanimously affirmed
acceptance of the Consent Calendar with Item #6, as follows:

Bov Scout Troop #748 - Utilization of Senior Center - Agenda Item 7
ACTION: On motion by Commissioner West, Commission unanimously approved a
reduction of facility fees for the Easter Sunday Pancake Breakfast fundraiser.
Senior Commission Elections - Agenda Item 10
ACTION: By secret ballot, Commissioners voted for officers through October 1 998,
as follows:
Jim Whittaker - Chairperson
Myra Zink - Vice Chairperson
