MEETING OF: SENIOR COMMISSION

CARLSBAD SENIOR CENTER
CALL TO ORDER:
Commissioner Whittaker called the Meeting to order at 1 :I 5 p.m.
ROLL CALL was taken by Sue Spickard, as follows:
Present:
Absent: Zin k.
Commissioners Chmiel, Serrin, West, and Whittaker.
PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE was led by Chairperson Whittaker.
APPROVAL OF MINUTES: -
ACTION: On motion by Chairman Whittaker, Minutes of the Regular Meeting
held August 5, 1999 were unanimously approved as presented.
PINE SCHOOL
Sr. Management Analyst, Keith Beverly spoke about the future of the Pine School
property. Beverly said the elementary school will be vacated by June 30, 2000.
The property will be used for maintenance storage and to house a continuation
school during the interim. The property site is being considered as a park and
recreation site. Beverly suggests seniors to take an active roll and express
what their needs and concerns are.
