MEETING OF: SENIOR COMMISSION
DATE OF MEETING: FEBRUARY 3, 2000 (Regular Meeting)
TIME OF MEETING: 1:15 p.m.
PLACE OF MEETING: CARLSBAD SENIOR CENTER
CALL TO ORDER:
Commissioner Whittaker called the Meeting to order at 1 : 1 5 p.m.
ROLL CALL was taken by Sue Spickard, as follows:
Present: Commissioners Chmiel, Serrin, West, Whittaker
Absent: Zink.
PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE was led by Chairperson Whittaker.
CONSENT CALENDAR
Action: Commission unanimously accepted Consent Calendar.
ACCEPTANCE OF DONATIONS
Commission unanimously voted to recommend that the City Council accept donations that
were made to the Center in the amount of $3,228.00.
VOLUNTEER RECOGNITION DINNER
Commission voted to have the Volunteer Recognition dinner at Lake San Marcos
Country Club, Friday, March 10 at 6:00 p.m. Entertainment will include a magician
for the evening festivities.
TRANSPORTATION TO BOARD AND CARE FACILITIES
Commission unanimously voted to inform the Board and Care facilities that their
residents are welcome to participate in all activities at the Center however, they will need to
provide transportation.
ADJOURNMENT
By proper motion, the Regular Meeting of February 3, 2000 was adjourned to the Lake
San Marcos Country Club.
