MEETING OF: SENIOR COMMISSION
DATE OF MEETING: June 1,2000 (Regular Meeting)
TIME OF MEETING: 1:15 p.m.
PLACE OF MEETING: CARLSBAD SENIOR CENTER
CALL TO ORDER:
Commissioner Whittaker called the Meeting to order at 1:15 p.m.
ROLL CALL was taken by Sue Spickard, as follows:
Present: Commissioners Chmiel, Serrin, Weber, West and Whittaker.
PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE was led by Chairperson.
CONSENT CALENDAR
Action: Commission unanimously accepted Consent Calendar.
ACCEPTANCE OF DONATIONS
Commission unanimously voted to recommend that the City Council accept donations that were
made to the Center in the amount of $115.00.
MYRA ZINK RETIREMENT LUNCH
Mayor Lewis presented a proclamation to Myra in recognition of her serving two terms as a
Senior Commissioner.
RECOGNITION OF A JOB WELL DONE BY SHARON JEWELL
Commissioner Whittaker wanted Sharon Jewell to be congratulated for the outstanding job she
continues to do as the leader of the Senior Safari trips.
ADJOURNMENT
By proper motion, the Regular Meeting of June 1, 2000 was adjourned at 2:00 p.m.
