MEETING OF: SENIOR COMMISSION
DATE OF MEETING: December 5, 2002
TIME OF MEETING: 1:15 p.m.
PLACE OF MEETING: CARLSBAD SENIOR CENTER
CALL TO ORDER:
Commissioner Wood called the meeting to order at 1:15 p.m.
ROLL CALL taken by Lori Swenck as follows:
Present: Commissioners Savary, Serrin, Weber, West and Wood.
PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE led by Commissioner Wood.
CONSENT CALENDAR
Action: Commission unanimously accepted Consent Calendar.
MANAGERS REPORT
Lori Swenck talked about the new and improved changes that are
continuing going on in the dining room under the auspices of the new Site
Coordinator, Sharon McAnally.
PATIO REMODEL
Artist Ron Juncal presented an array of tiles and designs for the patio
planter box. Juncal said it would take approximately 5 to 6 weeks to
install. Estimated cost is $5000.00.
PINE STREET PARK
Swenck informed the Commission the Pine Street Park will be on the
December 17th Agenda for City Council to vote upon.
VOLUNTEER RECOGNITION EVENT
Thursday, April 24 in the afternoon will be the day for the event at the
Senior Center. Details are still under discussion.
ADJOURNMENT
By proper motion, the Regular Meeting of December 5, 2002 was
adjourned at 2: 10 p.m.
