MEETING OF: SENIOR COMMISSION
DATE OF MEETING: June 12, 2003
TIME OF MEETING: 1:15 p.m.
PLACE OF MEETING: CARLSBAD SENIOR CENTER
CALL TO ORDER - Commissioner Wood called the meeting to order at 1:15 p.m.
ROLL CALL - Taken by Commissioner Wood as follows:
Present: Commissioners Savary, Serrin, Weber, West and Wood.
PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE - Led by Commissioner Wood.
CONSENT CALENDAR
Action: Commission unanimously accepted Consent Calendar.
SENIOR CENTER TRUST FUND
Sue Spickard, Recreation Services Manager and Roxanne May, from the
finance department, discussed uses and guidelines pertaining to the Trust fund.
MANAGER'S REPORT
Swenck gave a brief summary of what events have been taking place for the
month of May.
PATIO REMODEL
It was reported as per Scott Bradstreet, that no one has bid on the project. Bradstreet
will follow up with the contractors who seemed interested and ask them why they have
not bid.
ICE CREAM SOCIAL
Sunday, July 13, 2003, at Magee Park from 11:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. Included in the
day's venue will be ice cream, hot dogs, live music, a balloon shaper, games and
storytellers for the children.
ADJOURNMENT
By proper motion, the Regular Meeting of June 12, 2003, was adjourned at 2:35 p.m.
