MEETING OF: Senior Commission

CALL TO ORDER: Commissioner Tweedy called the Regular Meeting to order at 3:00 p.m.
ROLL CALL:
Present: Nelson, Surridge and Tweedy
Absent: Pearson and Savary
PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE: Commissioner Tweedy.
APPROVAL OF MINUTES: Accepted and approved the November 8, 2012 minutes.
PUBLIC COMMENT:
Diane Nygaard from Preserve Calavera spoke about her concerns ofthe proposed building of
homes in the Quarry Creek area. Nygaard passed out literature regarding the possible impact in
this area.
CONSENT CALENDAR:

Approved the November 8, 2012 summary.

Commission accepted and approved an oral report on the ongoing activities, upcoming
events, and donations received, presented by Recreation Services Manager, Sue
Spickard.
AYES: Nelson, Surridge and Tweedy
ABSTAIN: None
ABSENT: Pearson and Savary
NOES: None
Spickard introduced commission to the new Recreation Area Manager, Kevin Granse.
Granse who will be managing the senior center along with overseeing the teen, pre-school
and camp programs.
