MEETING OF: Senior Commission

CALL TO ORDER: Commissioner Tweedy called the Regular Meeting to order at 3:02 p.m.
ROLL CALL:
Present: Pearson, Min, Sachs and Tweedy
Absent: Nelson
PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE: Commissioner Tweedy
APPROVAL OF MINUTES: By proper motion, the minutes ofthe Senior Commission
meeting of January 23, 2014 were approved and the December 4, 2013 meeting has been
postponed due to a lack of a quorum of commissioners at that meeting.
CONSENT CALENDAR:
1. AB # 0214-1 SUMMARY REPORT (ACTION)
Accepted, approved and filed the January 23, 2014 Senior Commission meeting summary
report and postponed the December 4, 2013 summary report due to a lack of a quorum of
commissioners at that meeting.
DEPARTMENT REPORTS:
2. AB # 0214-2 NEEDS ASSESSMENT DISCUSSION - (INFORMATION
Kevin Granse introduced Sheri Sachs and Kevin Min as new commissioners.
3. AB # 0214-3 ELECTIONS OF SENIOR COMMISSION OFFICERS - (ACTION)
Elections of Senior Commission officers for the 2014 calendar year were completed, with
Ray Pearson the newly elected Chairperson and Dr. David Tweedy the newly elected Vice
Chairperson.
4. AB # 0214-4 SENIOR CENTER REPORT (INFORMATION)
Kevin Granse, Recreation Area Manager, gave an oral report on the ongoing activities and
upcoming events.

• Senior's Program's budget.
• Specific age demographics within the 50+ range.

By proper motion, the Senior Commission Meeting of February 27, 2014 was adjourned at
4:05 p.m.
