CALL TO ORDER: Commissioner Tweedy called the Regular Meeting to order at 3:00 p.m.
ROLL CALL:
Present: Min, Nelson, Sachs and Tweedy
Absent: Pearson
PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE: Commissioner Sachs
APPROVAL OF MINUTES: By proper motion, the minutes of the Senior Commission
meeting of July 24, 2014 was accepted and approved.
CONSENT CALENDAR:
1. AB # 0814-1 SUMMARY REPORT (ACTION)
Accepted, approved and filed the July 24, 2014 Senior Commission meeting summary
report.
DEPARTMENT REPORTS:
2. AB # 0814-2 VILLAGE AND BARRIO MASTER PLAN PRESENTATION (INFORMATION)
Commission received a presentation from Community and Economic Development staff
regarding the Village and Barrio Master Plan.
3. AB # 0814-3 FACILITY WALKTHROUGH (INFORMATION)
Commission received feedback from Kevin Granse, Recreation Area Manager and Jack
Nelson, Commissioner on their facility walkthrough of the Carlsbad Senior Center.
4. AB # 0814-4 SENIOR CENTER REPORT (INFORMATION)
Kevin Granse, gave an oral report on the ongoing activities and upcoming events.
