CALL TO ORDER: Commissioner Tweedy called the Regular Meeting to order at 3:02 p.m.
ROLL CALL:
Present: Tweedy, Nelson, Sachs, Min
Absent: Pearson
PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE: Commissioner Min
APPROVAL OF MINUTES: By proper motion, the minutes of the Senior Commission
meeting of November 12, 2014 was accepted and approved.
CONSENT CALENDAR:
1. AB # 0115-1 SUMMARY REPORT (ACTION)
Accepted, approved and filed the November 12, 2014 Senior Commission meeting
summary report.
DEPARTMENT REPORTS:
2. AB # 0115-2 ELECTION OF SENIOR COMMISSION OFFICERS (ACTION)
Agenda item tabled until February 2015 meeting to allow for all commissioners to
participate in election of officers.
3. AB # 0115-3 COMMISSIONER RESPONSIBILITIES (ACTION)
Recreation Area Manager Kevin Granse shared information from chapter 2.38 of the
Carlsbad municipal code in order to clarify the roles, responsibilities, and functions of the
Senior Commission.
4. AB # 0115-4 SENIOR CENTER REPORT (INFORMATION)
Kevin Granse, gave an oral report on the ongoing activities and upcoming events.

• Advisory comments to the City Council related to the updates of the general plan.
• Best practices for senior centers/senior programming.
