CALL TO ORDER: Chair Rodenhausen called the Regular Meeting to order at 3:00 p.m.
ROLL CALL: Minutes Clerk, Char Buckalew took roll call: ·
Present: Chair Rodenhausen, Commissioners Pearson, Mehan and Tweedy.
Absent: Vice Chair Sachs
PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE: Commissioner Tweedy led the Pledge of Allegiance.
APPROVAL OF MINUTES:
Chair Rodenhausen requested a motion to approve the minutes of the March 7, 2019 Senior
Commission meeting.

Motion by Commissioner Pearson and duly seconded by Commissioner
Mehan to approve the minutes of the regular meeting of
March 7, 2019 was approved.

1. SR#0419-1 DEPARTMENT REPORT
Recreation Area Manager Margaret Hamer gave a report on the ongoing activities
and upcoming events.
Commissioners requested additional information on items reported on by Margaret Hamer.

ANNOUNCEMENTS: None
PUBLIC COMMENTS:
Mary Lucid, Oceanside Resident spoke regarding the Senior Center facility and programming.
Chris Hazeltine, Parks & Recreation Director let the commission know he was leaving his position
with the City of Carlsbad.
FUTURE AGENDA ITEMS:
Continue to create a work plan.
ADJOURNMENT:
By proper motion, the Special Meeting of the Senior Commission for April 4, 2019 adjourned at
3:35 p.m.
