1. Approval of Minutes
The minutes for the September meeting were approved as submitted.
2. Tour of Carlsbad Throu'qh Street System
Decisions made on through streets were as follows:
a) Garfield and Acacia-Garfield is to be made a through
street; yield signs are to be placed on Acacia.
b) Magnolia and Valley-Proposed decision is to be accepted,
c) Highland and Buena Vista Way-Easterly portion of Buena
except yield signs are to be used instead of stop signs. -.
Vista Way is to be removed from the through street plan. Highland Drive is to be the through street. Las Flores - is to be renamed Highland Drive and the northerly portion of Highland Drive is to be renamed Elmwood. Yield sign
is to be placed on north bound Elmwood.
d) The remainder of the proposed through street system was
adopted.
3. Intersection of Jefferson and Oak
An incident at the intersection of Jefferson Street and Oak
Avenue, (a motorist travelling north on Jefferson took the right of way,legally belonging to the commissioners' vehicle which was travelling west on Oak), prompted a decision to place
yield signs on Oak Avenue.
4. School Pedestrian Problem at Tamarack Avenue & Pi0 Pic0
Observation of intersection of Tamarack Avenue and Pi0 Pic0
led to the decision to locate a school zone sign (W63/W65)
on east bound Tamarack at 1-5.
