1. APPROVAL OF MtNUTES
The Minutes of the May 5, 1980 meeting were approved as submitted.
2. PARK AT MARINA - CONSIDERATION OF A "NO PARKING ANYTIME" ZONE
The Commission agreed with staff to post three "NO PARKING ANYTIME" signs
on the east side of Marina Drive. They denied staff's recommendation to
paint the curb red around the fire hydrant. The Commission is waiting for
input from the Bristol Cove Homeowners! Assocation about any additional
complaints.
3. ABEDUL STREET IN NORTH LA COSTA - PETITION FOR A "CHILDREN AT PLAY"
SIGN OR SPEED LIMIT SIGN
The Commission denied the request for a "CHILDREN AT PLAY" sign and asked
staff to repeat the speed study. Mrs. Donovan, who had requested the
signing, agreed that if another speed study showed no need for any speed
signing, she would drop her request.
4. GRAND AVENUE AND CARLSBAD BOULEVARD - TRAFFIC SIGNAL PEDESTRIAN TIMING
The Commission felt no further action was needed.
5. MARRON ROAD - SPEED LIMIT SIGNS
The Commission decided not to take any action at this time, they want to
wait for the Bullock's store to open to see what impact it will have on
Marron Road.
6. ALGA AND EL FUERTE - "CHILDREN AT PLAY'' SIGN OR SCHOOL SIGN
The Commission denied this request.

7. APPO I NT CARL ROSS TO THE COMMl SS I ON
The Commission recommended that Council appoint Carl Ross of the Auto
Club to the Traffic Safety Commission to represent the Auto Club.
8. GRAND AND ROOSEVELT - PAINT RED CURB
The Commission requested staff to research the possibility of painting
red curb for sight distance purposes.
