MINUTES MFJBERS PRESENT: OTmIERS PRESENT: Chairman Alan Jacobs, Bob Nelson, Capt. Wally Rossal, John Lusig- nan, Wes Terry, Larry DOssey, Roger Greer, Carl Ross Steve Tisdale, William Stracker 1. APPROVAL OF MINUTES The minutes of the June 2, 1980 meeting were approved as submitted. 2. MONROE, ALDER, AND SUNNYHILL - REPORT FROM WILLIAM STRACKER The Commission agreed with staff's recmendation, after the City overlays the streets, the City will install yellow raised pavement markers, stripe center lines, and take care of the drainage problem at that intersection. 3. CAF\LSBAD BOULEVARD SAFETY I"MS - CITIZENS REOUESTS Mr. 6 Mrs. Cilivetti attended the meeting and their request was for sidewalks on the west side of Carlsbad Boulevard due to the fact that there is a bluff right up to the street, and because that property belongs to the State the Commission denied their request. action was taken to 3B. Karen Page did not attend the meeting, so no 4. PASEO DEI, NORTE It was recommended by the Commission to post two 'TTC!T A TRUCK ROUTF" signs, one just south of the parking lot driveway behind Denny's for southbound traffic. The other sign is to be posted on the northbound Poinsettia off ramp of 1-5. The Commission denied the posting of speed limits on Paseo del Norte. 5. SPEED STUDIES - PARK DRIVE AND ABEDUL STREETS Posting of spped limit signs at both locations were denied because of the re- sult ofthe speed study. 6. ALGA ROAD - NO PARKING WEST OF EL FUERTE The Commission denied this request. 7. EL FUERTE AND UNICORN10 - STOP SIGNS The Commission felt this intersection did not warrant stop signs at this time. Page 2 8. RANCHO SA"A FE ROAD - GUARD RAILS The Commission did not make a recommendation; they wanted to wait until they got an opinion from the attorney's office. 9.
