APPROVAL OF MINUTES The Minutes of the October 6, 1980 meeting were approved as submitted. 2. PARK F.MD KELLY - ALTERNATE PLANS FOR STOP SfGN - The Commission agreed with staff's recommendation against any change at this tim. t, 3. MARRClN ROAD ARC! AVENIDA DE ANITA - PA9KING The Comxission instructed staff to request Council approval of the no parking zone which would be required to institute the red zone for better sight distance.' 4. SAFETY PATROL - CAPT. ROSSALL Staff was requested by the Commission to write a letter recommending the usage of school safety patrols and requested the appointment of a safety patrol coordinator by the School District. 5. ALGA P.ND CAZADERO - FOUR-WAY STOP This item was continued until the next meeting to allow the involved citizen to be heard. 6. LA COSTA AVENUE - PARKING RESTRICTIONS . '- \ 7 The Comr:iission reaffirmed its original position by recommending to the *. Council that the no parking zones be confirmed by the adoption of a no parking ordinance for La Costa. Avenue. 7. ALTAMIRA - TRUCK PROBLEMS This item was brought to the Conirnission's attention for informational purposes orlly. -I--- f , 8. CONSIDERATION OF BICYCLE ROUTES The Commission recommended that staff inform Council of policy recommen- dations affecting bicycle routes. .The report is attached for Council in- forniation. The Commission concurred with the recommendations. ., .- 9. ELM AND MONROE; ELM AND VALLEY - SIGHT DISTANCE Staff was requested by the Commission to write a letter to Planning Com- missioner Jose agreeing with his complaint of the potential sight distance problem at the intersection of Elm and Monroe and Elm and Valley and come back wth recommended mitigating measures. 10. "NO STOPPING" SIGNS ON MARRON ROAD She Commission agreed with staff's recommendations to post the missing "no stopping any time'! signs, but recognized that Council should confirm the "no stopping'' by ordinance.
