City Council Chambers CALL TO ORDER The meeting was called to order at 3:04 P.M. by Vice-chairman Wes Terry. ROLL CALL Present - Members Ralph Darton, Arthur Kantor, Captain Wally Russell, Wes Terry, Larry Dossey, and Rill Baldwin Absent - Chairman John Lusignan Also present : Mrs. Linda Ankrom, 2089 Elfin Forest Lane, Escondido Steve Tisdale, Engineering Department Carl Ross, Automobile Club 1. APPROVAL OF MINUTES: Minutes of the Jtegular Meeting, held November 2, 1981 were approved as submitted. 2. LA COSTA AVENUE & RANCHO SANTA FE - INTERSECTION APPROACH. The Commission recommended Staff draft a letter to the developer, requesting priority be given to the installation of the signal at Rancho Santa Fe and La Costa Avenue. 3. JEFFERSON - SLOPE CUT. The Commission requested that Staff contact the complainant, Mr. Angarola, and advise him that the matter is pow a private one, and the City has done all it can. 4. GRANADA & SANTA CLARA WAY - REQUEST FOR STOP SIGN. At the request of the complainant, Mrs. Littlefield, the Commission continued the matter to the next regular meeting. a TRAFFIC SAFETY COMMISSION December 7, 1981 Page 2 5. PASEO DEL NORTE - SPEEDING. The Commission recommended Staff contact the State and request priority be given to the widening of the roadway adjacent to the bridge at Palomar Airport Road and Interstate 5. 6. RIDGECREST 6 SEACREST - VERBAL REPORT BY STAFF. Larry Dossey gave a staff report on the matter, indicating that Council has also expressed concern with regard to sidewalks in general, and thus sidewalks on Ridgecrest and Seacrest could be included in that project. Commission discussion reflected same. INFORMATION ITEM Carl Ross indicated he will be retiring from the Automobile Club, and this would be his last meeting.
