A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CARLSBAD,
CALIFORNIA, CONFIRMING THE MAYORAL APPOINTMENT OF A MEMBER OF
THE CITY COUNCIL TO THE SAN DIEGO COUNTY WATER AUTHORITY
(SDCWA) BOARD OF DIRECTORS
WHEREAS, Government Code § 40605 requires that the Mayor appoint, with City Council
concurrence, a representative to the San Diego County Water Authority (SDCWA) Board of Directors;
and
WHEREAS, SDCWA requests that the appointment be made no later than the first regular City
Council meeting in 2020.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Carlsbad, California, as
follows:
1. That the above recitations are true and correct.
2. That the following Carlsbad City Council Member is hereby appointed to the San Diego
County Water Authority Board of Directors, for a term ending in December 2020 or until
a replacement is appointed.

PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED at a Regular Meeting of the City Council of the City of
Carlsbad on the 14th day of January 2020, by the following vote, to wit:
AYES: Hall, Blackburn, Bhat-Patel, Schumacher.
NAYS: None.
ABSENT: None.
