A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CARLSBAD,
CALIFORNIA, APPOINTING ONE MEMBER TO THE PLANNING COMMISSION
Exhibit 1
WHEREAS, Commissioner Kerry Siekmann was initially appointed to the Planning Commission
in January 2011, and reappointed in April 2014; and
WHEREAS, Commissioner Siekmann is not seeking reappointment; and
WHEREAS, a scheduled vacancy on the Planning Commission exists.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Carlsbad, California, as
follows:
1. That the above recitations are true and correct.
2. That the following Carlsbad resident is hereby appointed to serve on the Planning
Commission, commencing 1st day of April, 2018, for a term ending in April 2022.

PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED at a Regular Meeting of the City Council of the City of
Carlsbad on the 27th day of February, 2018, by the following vote, to wit:
AYES: M. Hall, K. Blackburn, M. Schumacher, M. Packard.
NOES: C. Schumacher.
ABSENT: None.
