RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF
CARLSBAD MUNICIPAL WATER DISTRICT AWARD-
ING THE CONTRACT FOR CONSTRUCTION OF
TRANSMISSION MAIN FOR ALGA ROAD PROJECT
WHEREAS, pursuant to due publication of adver-
tisement for bids for the construction of TRANSMISSION
MAIN IN ALGA ROAD FOR THE CARLSBAD MUNICIPAL WATER DIS-
TRICT, seven (7) sealed bids were filed with the Board
of Directors of Carlsbad Municipal Water District prior
to 2:OO o'clock p.m. on November 17, 1971, as required
by said advertisement; and
WHEREAS, said bids were opened and publicly
read aloud at the time and place specified in said ad-
vertisement, and it was determined that bids had been
submitted by the following in the following total
amounts :

McKNIGHT CONSTRUCTION CORPORATION $195,914.65
SULLY-MILLER CONTRACTING CO.
L. CASTILLO & SONS, INC.
CARD CONSTRUCTION

$209,965.40
CAMERON BROS. CONSTRUCTION CO., INC. $187,002.55
DON HUBBARD CONTRACTING CO. $232,611.80
and
WHEREAS, it has been determined that the bid
of CAMERON BROS. CONSTRUCTION CO., INC., in the total
amount of One Hundred Eighty Seven Thousand Two and 55/100
Dollars ($187,002.55) is the lowest responsible bid, and
said bid complies with said advertisement for bids and
the contract documents.
NOW, THEFLEFORE, THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF
CARLSBAD MUNICIPAL WATER DISTRICT DOES HEREBY RESOLVE
AND ORDER AS FOLLOWS:
1. That the bid submitted by CAMERON BROS.
CONSTRUCTION CO., INC. for the furnishing of all trans-
portation, materials, equipment, labor, services and sup-
plies necessary to construct and complete said Transmis-
sion Main for Alga Road Project, said bid being filed with
the Board of Directors of Carlsbad Municipal Water District,
is the lowest responsible bid received for said work: that
said bidder is the lowest responsible bidder; and that the
contract for the performance of said work is hereby awarded
to said bidder for the sum of One Hundred Eighty Seven
Thousand Two and 55/100 Dollars ($187,002.55) , the price
named in said bid for doing said work.
2. That the president and secretary of the
Board of Directors of Carlsbad Municipal Water District . are hereby authorized and directed to execute the con-
tract with said bidder for doing said work upon the ex-
ecution, delivery and filing of the required bonds and
of the contract by said bidder in the form and manner re-
quired by said advertisement for bids and other contract
documents, incorporated herein by reference.
ADOPTED, SIGNED AND APPROVED this 19th day
of January , 1972.

Directors of CARLSBAD MUNICIPAL WATER DISTRICT, DO HEREBY
CERTIFY that the foregoing resolution was duly adopted
by the Board of Directors of said District, at a regular
meeting of said Board held on the 19th day of January,
1972, and that it was adopted by the following vote:
AYES: Carmichael, Engelman, MacLeod,
Maerkle and Kelly.
NOES: None
ABSENT: None
