RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF
CARLSBAD MUNICIPAL WATER DISTRICT AWARD-
ING THE CONTRACT FOR CONSTRUCTION OF
THE ARENAL ROAD WATER MAIN EXTENSION
WHEREAS, pursuant to due publication of advertise-
ment for bids for the construction of ARENAL ROAD 10" WATER
MAIN EXTENSION FOR THE CARLSBAD MUNICIPAL WATER DISTRICT,
ten (10) sealed bids were filed with the Board of Directors
of Carlsbad Municipal Water District prior to 2:OO o'clock
p.m. on May 1, 1974, as required by said advertisement; and
WHEREAS, said bids were opened and publicly read
aloud at the time and place specified in said advertisement,
and it was determined that bids had been submitted by the
following in the following total amounts:

WHEREAS, it has been determined that the bid of
DON HUBBARD CONTRACTING CO., in the total amount of Twenty
One Thousand Two Hundred Two and 40/100 Dollars ($21,202.40)
is the lowest responsible bid, and said bid complies with
said advertisement for bids and the contract documents.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF
CARLSBAD MUNICIPAL WATER DISTRICT DOES HEREBY RESOLVE AND
ORDER AS FOLLOWS:
1. That the bid submitted by DON HUBBARD CON-
TRACTING CO. for the furnishing of all transportation,
materials, equipment, labor, services and supplies necessary
to construct and complete said Arena1 Road 10" Water Main
Extension, said bid being filed with the Board of Directors
of Carlsbad Municipal Water District, is the lowest respon-
sible bid received for said work; that said bidder is the
lowest responsible bidder; and that the contract for the per-
formance of said work is hereby awarded to said bidder for
the sum of Twenty One Thousand Two Hundred Two and 40/100
Dollars ($21,202.40), the price named in said bid for doing
said work.
2. That the president and secretary of the Board
of Directors of Carlsbad Municipal Water District are hereby
authorized and directed to execute the contract with said
bidder for doing said work upon the execution, delivery and
filing of the required bonds and of the contract by said
bidder in the form and manner required by said advertisement
for bids and other contract documents, incorporated herein by
reference.
ADOPTED, SIGNED AND APPROVED this 15th day of May,
1974.

I, W. D. CARMICHAEL, Secretary of the Board of
Directors of CARLSBAD MUNICIPAL WATER DISTRICT, DO HEREBY
CERTIFY that the foregoing resolution was duly adopted by
the Board of Directors of said District, at a regular
meeting of said Board held on the 15th day of May, 1974,
and that it was adopted by the following vote:

MacLeod and Maerkle.
