RESOLUTION NO. 1191
A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF CARLSBAD
MUNICIPAL WATER DISTRICT (CMWD), APPROVING PLANS AND
SPECIFICATIONS AND AUTHORIZING THE DISTRICT SECRETARY
TOADVERTISE FOR BIDS FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF THE
ALGA ROAD, POINSETTIA LANE, AND MELROSE DRIVE RECYCLED
WATER TRANSMISSION MAIN FOR THE ENCINA BASIN WATER
RECLAMATION PROGRAM, PHASE II PROJECT, PROJECT NO. 3887-6.
WHEREAS, the Board of Directors of Carlsbad Municipal Water District has determined
t necessary, desirable, and in the public interest to construct the Alga Road, Poinsettia Lane, and
Welrose Drive Recycled Water Transmission Main, Project No. 3887-8; and
WHEREAS, the plans and specifications for furnishing of all labor, materials, tools,
3quipment, transportation, and other expenses necessary or incidental to said project have been
wepared and are on file in the Engineering Department of the City of Carlsbad and are
ncorporated by reference herein; and
WHEREAS, the estimated project cost is $3,860,000 and there are sufficient funds
3ppropriated in the Phase II Pipeline project to construct the recycled water pipeline project; and
WHEREAS, a Mitigated Negative Declaration has been adopted by the City of Carlsbad
3ty Council by Resolution 2000-37, dated January 25, 2000, as required by the California
Environmental Quality Act; and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of Directors of Carlsbad Municipal
Nater District as follows:
1. That the above recitations are true and correct.
2. That the plans, specifications, and contract documents, on file in the City
Engineer’s office, as described above for the Alga Road, Poinsettia Lane, and Melrose Drive
qecycled Water Transmission Main, Project 3887-8 are hereby approved.

3. The District Secretary of the Carlsbad Municipal Water District is hereby authorized
and directed to publish, in accordance with State law, a Notice to Contractors Inviting Bids for the
construction of the Alga Road, Poinsettia Lane, and Melrose Drive Recycled Water Transmission
Main, Project No. 3887-B, in accordance with the plans, specifications, and contact documents
referred to herein.
PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED at a special meeting of the Carlsbad Municipal
Water District held on the 19th day of AUGUST , 2003 by the following vote, to wit:
