2 A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE
AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF AN AGREEMENT FOR 3
PROJECT 2000-101. CONTRACT NO. 38161. 5
PRELIMINARY AND FINAL ENGINEERING DESIGN SERVICES FOR 4
CARLSBAD MUNICIPAL WATER DISTRICT FOR APPROVING AND
EL FUERTE 30-INCH WATER TRANSMISSION MAIN, CMWD
6 WHEREAS, the Board of Directors of the Carlsbad Municipal Water District of C:

California, has determined it necessary and in the public interest to enter into an agreen
file in the City Clerkâs Office between Dokken Engineering and the Carlsbad Municipa

WHEREAS, the Board of Directors of the Carlsbad Municipal Water District of C 10
District, CMWD Project No. 2000-101, Contract No. 38161; and
11
services for a 30-inch potable water transmission main; and 12
California, approves and authorizes the execution of an agreement for engineering
13 WHEREAS, the Department of Public Works - Utility Engineering Division re
14 multiple proposals for the transmission main design; and
15 WHEREAS, the Department of Public Works - Utility Engineering staff recommel

18 WHEREAS, the proposal amount of $48,495 for Design, $4,800 for engineering

appropriated in the 1999/2000 Budget for the El Fuerte Water Line. 20
during construction, plus $6,705 for engineering services contingencies, is available
21 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of Directors of the
22 Municipal Water District, as follows:
