A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA, ANNOUNCING FINDINGS AND DECISION REGARDING SPECIFIC PLAN FOR LA COSTA VALE, ON PROPERTY LOCATED NORTH OF LA COSTA AVENUE, WEST OF RANCHO SANTA FE ROAD (realigned) AND SOUTH OF THE 200' SAN DIEGO GAS AND ELECTRIC COMPANY EASEMENT IN LA COSTA.
WHEREAS, on the 24th day of April, 1973, the Carlsbad
City Planning Commission adopted Resolution No. 890 which
is herewith referred to and made a part hereof; and
WHEREAS, on April 24, 1973, a duly advertised Public
Hearing was held in the manner prescribed by law to consider
the Specific Plan for La Costa Vale, to allow for development
of 254 lots on 290 acres, with maximum of 1987 dwelling units,
on property described as:
Portion of Section 31, Township 12 South Range 3 West, San Bernardina Meridian, City of Carlsbad, County of San Diego, State of Ca'l iforni a,
WHEREAS, on June 5th , . , 1973, the City Council
held a duly advertised public hearing and received all
recommendations and heard all persons interested in or opposed
to the proposed Specific Plan; and
NHEREAS, said application has complied with the require-
ments of the "City of Carlsbad Environmental Protection
Ordinance of 1972" and an Environmental Impact Report was
presented and discussed at a duly noticed public hearing at
the Planning Commission meeting of April 24, 1973;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of
the City of Carlsbad as follows:
1, That the above recitations are true and correct.
2. That the findings of the Planning Commission as
set forth in Planning Commission Resolution No. 890 constitute

the findings of the City Council.
3. That the approval of the proposed specific plan is
necessary to carry out the general purpose of Title 21 of the
Carlsbad Municipal Code.
4. That the specific plan recommended by Planning
Commission Resolution No. 890 is hereby approved.
PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the
City Council on the 5thday of ;lUw ~, ,$ 1973, by the
following vote, to wit:
AYES: Cmn. McComas, Lewis, Chase, and Frazee.
NOES: None.
ABSENT: Cmn. Dunne.
