J y\ < j n eci Receipt No. 'Case Nliiiilxir' 5 MEMORANDUM DATE: June 22, 1983 TO: Design Review Board FROM: Land Use Planning Office SUBJECT: RP 83-10-BARSON-Request for approval of a Minor Redevelopment Permit to refurbish the interior of an existing office building at 2725 Jefferson Street, on the southwest corner of Jefferson Street and Laguna Drive. The applicant is requesting approval of a Minor Redevelopment Permit for the remodel of the interior of a portion of an existing office building at 2725 Jefferson Street. The project site is two existing dental office suites within the subject office building. The applicant proposes to remodel the suites to include ten treatment rooms, a laboratory, lounge and reception area. The project site is located in Sub-area 6 of the Village Redevelopment Area. The goal of Sub-area 6 is to maintain its existing character of maximizing the office and professional buffer zone around the sub-area. This Sub-area incorporates a mixture of residential and office/professional uses. Medical offices are specifically encouraged within the sub-area. The proposed remodel would not constitute a change in use nor create demand for additional parking facilities. Staff believes that the proposal is consistent with the goals and objectives of the Village Design Manual.
