Re: Sign Permit Application
Dear Mr. Perkins
In reviewing the sign permit application for Guy Stuff, staff has found that the
square footage for the proposed hanging signs does not meet the current Village
Sign Guideline of a maximum of four square feet for each hanging sign.
This leaves you, the business owner, with a few different options. The proposed
nine square feet hanging sign could be professionally installed as a wall sigii to
be placed just above the eave line of the roof (see attachrhent). The snnaller
proposed five-and-a-half square feet hanging sign could be downsized to meet
the four square feet maximum for a hanging sign or it could be installed as a
projecting sign following the Village Sign Guidelines for that type of sign. Please
contact the Housing and Redevelopment Department for additional options
regarding your signage.
In making changes to your sign locations, please be sure to obtain the property
owner's approval before submitting the revisions for your pending sign permit to
our office.
If you have any questions regarding the information contained in this letter,
please contact my office at (760) 434-2810 ext 5017.
