This memo focuses on actions and information that are new since the last update. Emergency Operations Center • Emergency Operations Center staff activated to support COVID-19 mitigation and response operations and information sharing, and virtually activated to support the city’s reopening and re-staffing. Carlsbad’s rate is now at 4.3%, slightly lower than the 4.50% rate reported in Encinitas and the 4.96% rate in Poway. March - Last week April 2020 Permits issued 112 72 Inspections 374 335 Video inspections 95 n/a Permits finalized 104 63 *All inspections conducted with social distancing measures Library & Cultural Arts • The Learning Center is partnering with the County Health and Human Services Department, the Community Resource Center and Live Well San Diego to offer a COVID-19 pop-up vaccine clinic this Friday from 9 a.m. - 1 p.m. o The vaccine offered will be the single-dose Johnson & Johnson version o The program is for walk-ins, ages 18 and up.
