RESOLUTION NO. 2021-4
RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CARLSBAD TOURISM
BUSINESS IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT, ELECTING ITS CHAIR AND VICE-CHAIR
WHEREAS, at its November 27, 2012 meeting, the Carlsbad City Council adopted Ordinance
No. CS-194 forming the Carlsbad Tourism Business Improvement District (CTBID); and
WHEREAS, at its Aug. 1, 2018 meeting, the CTBID Advisory Board elected its Chair for a two-
year term; and
WHEREAS, at its Jan. 16, 2019 meeting, the CTBID Advisory Board elected its Vice-Chair for a
two-year term; and
WHEREAS, the Chair and Vice-Chair's terms have expired, so a new Chair and Vice-Chair needs
to be elected; and
WHEREAS, the Board conducted an election of officers at its July 7, 2021 meeting.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of Directors of the Carlsbad Tourism
Business Improvement District, as follows:
1.That the above recitations are true and correct.
2.The CTBID Board hereby elects Tim Stripe to serve as Chair of the CTBID Board for a term
of two-years.
3.The CTBID Board hereby elects Geoff Gray to serve as Vice-Chair of the CTBID Board
for a term of two-years.
PASSED, APPROVED, AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the Board of Directors of the
Carlsbad Tourism Business Improvement District on the 7 day of July 2021, by the following vote to
wit:
AYES: Stripe, Gray, Canepa, Chapin
NAYS: n/a
ABSENT: Rauch
ABSTAIN: n/a
