Preliminary Review Questions
The mini storage project site at the SW corner of Gateway Road and Palomar Airport Road
(APN: 213-263-19-00 & 213-263-20-00)
• Is a parking reduction feasible? (will have minimal staff onsite, parking standards based
on square footage could lead to excess of necessary parking)
• Outdoor eating reduction -would mini park on corner of Melrose & Palomar Airport rd
be sufficient?
o Across the street from the lot, there is a little area: could we use this to address
the outdoor seating area spot (employee eating area/seating area has to be
within 1,000 ft if not on lot, this could be a park or someplace that offers
seating/a place to eat) (who owns this: association or City?)
• Will this project require a traffic study?
• Other studies required?
