It is my hope to clarify & define what are my choices for all three dwellings
on this property to be legal rentals.
I have been concerned & started my inquiries to question what I needed
to do since June of 2011 when the final three gas meters were approved
yet; was not able to be completed. The three electrical meters were
installed back in January 2001 with no issue.
It appears that this most currant notice from Scott Lynge in code
compliance is requiring a permit for the middle cottage workshop home
to be somehow recognized as a legal currant dwelling space.
That cottage was remodeled twenty years ago & has existed since 1949.
I refinanced this property a couple years ago to hire a representative to
help me clear up the first notice. The middle cottage did not get cleared
up due to my confusion, money & time.
I live in Indiana & am raising my two granddaughters alone. I lost a few
years of income then & do not have the income to qualify with my debt
to income ratios to do it again.
I felt I had no choice but to sell what I had hoped to move back to; retire
at, after my granddaughters finished high school & left for college, I will be

70 years old then. It's a very short time now, but Scott wants this addressed
immediately. He just has to do his job.
It has proven that even the ability to sell is a challenge without being
informed clearly what a new owner would need to do to secure it as
three dwelling spaces.
I am now under more hardship to provide for my family since this covid 19
shut down my business & educational job. I do not receive any assistance
from any government or the parents of my granddaughters.
My dream had been to add on to the front cottage with a bedroom from
the back with a entertainment deck on top ...
However, that would require the sell of my home here, find employment &
move 2300+ miles quickly or inexpensively.
God willing I can be blessed by a grandfathering clause to retain this
property as is, legally being allowed.
If this is not meant to be, then I need to know what another steward
would have to do to incur this into a sound three-unit investment to
purchase.
Scott has interior & exterior photos: you have the other drawings of the
plot plans & buildings location that were recently submitted.
The middle cottage is called a workshop studio. It is 500 square feet
including the covered patio. It has a full bathroom & small kitchen. The fire
department & other officials for my business approved this structure when
I first lived on that sweet property.
I sincerely appreciate your review, guidance & consideration of my
circumstances.
