Locate all remote control and quick coupling valves adjacent to walks or curbs. Manifold RCV's where possible. Irrigation lines that run und~r paving (asphalt concrete or Portl,md concrete improvements) st'iall be installed in Sch.40 PVC sleeves 2 times the size of pipe shown. Use separate sleeve for controller wires. Adjust all heads to eliminate throw onto walls, walks, windows, etc. Install anti-drain valves under sprinkler heads to prevent erosion/run-off due to site topography, unless factory installed check valves specified. There shall be no low-head drainage. Serviceable check valves located in valve boxes or on risers (above grade) are required where elevation differential may cause low head drainage. 9. 10. 11. .. It is the City's intent that the future source of water for irrigation will be reclaimed water. All equipment shall be compatible with reclaimed water. All work with reclaimed water shall comply with Carlsbad Reclamation Rules and Regulations for Construction of Reclaimed Water Mains (June 1991), as well as the City of Carlsbad Landscape Manual. Particular care shall be taken to assure that all equipment in the reclaimed water system shall be well marked with all the warning devices required by the City. "Alertline" pipe (or equal) shall be installed.
