Background On June 30, 2022, the city's solid waste management franchise agreement with Coast Waste Management, Inc. (Waste Management) for collection and recycling processing will expire. On April 6, 2021, the City Council adopted Resolution No. 2021-075, approving the city's new hauling agreement with Republic, which will go into effect on July 1, 2022. Commercial customers and multi-family complexes will receive bundled waste service for trash, recycling and organics.
