1-The contractor shall verify the locations of all existing
utilities, structu.ees, and services before commencing work.
The locations of utilities, structures, and services shown
on these plans are apprnximate only. Any di,ac,,:-epanci""
between these plans and actual field conditions shall be
reported to the owner.
2. Contractor shall verify, with owner, the specific locations
of the water and electric lines shown on the plan adjacent
to the condensate storage tanks at the north east corner of
the project site
~-The contractor shall protect all existing utilities and
features on and adjacent to the project site during
construction. Contractor shall repair or repl~~e, ut hi.~ own
expense, all damage resulting from his operations or
negligence.

Contractor shall not install any plant materials in
locations where the ultimate growth of the plant materials
will damage or effect structures or impede pedestrian or
vehicular cixculation. Contractor shall notify the owner
immediately of any di~crepancies between these pla11s and
act.nal site conditions.
Clearing of existing weed vegetation shall be ~equired
as directed in the field by the owner's representative.
Weeds; shall be removed by hand, or by application of Round-
up. Herbicide applicator shall be licensed by the St~te of CA.
All plAnting Ar~~s shall b@ graded to slope away from
structures at a minimum of 2% grade.
Contractor shall notify owner's representative prior to
delivery of plar1t material. Owner's representnt1ve shall be
on site at time nf delivery, and shall be pr~sent at time of
plant placement on the job site.
F.xcept for native plants, planting backfill mix for
container stock plants shall be as specified in the soil
analysis.

Unless otherwise specified in the soil analysis and approved
by the owner's r~presehtative, native plants shall be
bACkfilled with un-amended native soil. Slow release
fertilizer shall be placed approximately 3-4'' below finish
grade, ae, per specifications and details. DO NOT PLACE
FERTTl,TZEft IN BOTTOM OF HOLE, OR ON TOP OF FINISH GRADE,
All 15 gallon trees shall be full branching to the ground.
Minimum cAliper shall b" 1/2" diameter at breast height. Any
trees not meeting these specifications shall be rejected in
the field by the owner's representative, and e,hall be
r-<'.moved from the site and replaced with acceptable trees
solely at the expe11se of the contractor.
For all planting ~reas irrigated with a drip system, the
planting shall be completed prior to the final layout of the
drip tubin9. When the drip tubing ls in place, the planting
area shall b<' cover<'d with the layer of mulch.
Contractor shctll spread a layer of bark mulch to ;,11 shruh
and tree plnnting a~eas at the miniwum thickness shown on
the planting plan. The mulch shc-oll be supplied and delivered
to the site by the County Dep;,rt.ml'nt of P11hl1.c Works.
Contr"otor shall take care that the layer of mulch is not
mo1-e than one 1nch thick at all areas w1thlil six inches of
the pl <"Jnt-. stem/t.:tunk.
14. Contractor is responsible for the Mealth and security of all
