Dear Mr. Sarem:
Based on the request of the City of Carlsbad, Petra Geosciences, Inc. (Petra) has reviewed the referenced
grading plan prepared by Toal Engineering (Toal, 2020) and foundation plan prepared by NS Structural
Engineering, Inc. (NSSE, 2020) for the subject residence. The preliminary grading plan and foundation
plan were found to be in substantial compliance with Petra's recommendations for grading and design
presented in the referenced geotechnical report (Petra, 2020a and 2020b).
