Planting &. Irrigation Notes..:.
The on-site contractor is to furnish the following:
Note of Mainline Press. Test: 1. Mainline pressure test (PSI) for a 24hr. duration.
Test mainline for 24 hrs. at 125 p.s.i. 2. Coverage Test, per landscape inspector.
3 The following approvals before backfill, by the landscape
inspector: sleeve installations, mainline pressure test,
coverage test, trench depths.
4 Submit "As Built" prints to City Inspector for approval.
5. Revise City Mylars to include "As Built" revisions.
6. Rain shut off devices to be used at irrigation control.
7. Grading/Soil Amending-soil test to be taken, reviewed and
approved by city and recommendations incorporated
into plans.
8. Planting--wooihrubs to be planted over 60% of ground
cover area.
9 Planting-slopes over 8' in vertical height have:
a. Cover crop/jute mesh (100% coverage)
b. Ground cover, minimum flatted size (100% coverage)
c. Low spreading shrubs from min. 2 3/4" liners
(70% coverage)
d. Trees and large shrubs from min. 1 gal. (1/200 sq. ft.)
10. Slopes between 4' and 8' invert. height have standard a., b.,
and c. above.
11. Irrigation-head spacing to be 50% of diameter in turf and
in non-turf areas when using stream sprays, rotors, or
impact heads.
12. Irrigation-an areas to be planted are to have permanent
automatic irrigation systems.
13. Separate irrigation circuits to be installed top, bottom and
middle of slopes.
14. Valves-ball valves to be installed for "zone control."
15. Quick coupling valves to be installed every 150 feet.
16. All pipe to be below grade (18" cover on main, 12" cover
on laterals)
17. PVC mains Class 315-Sched ule 40 at 1 1 /2" or smaller.
18. PVC laterals to be Class 200, all fittings to be PVC Sch. 40
19. Use pop-up sprinkler heads within 1 O' of ped. use.
20. Controller wire to be sleeved under improvements.
finish Grading:
1. Existing soil shall be cleared of all rock, debris,
and noxious materials.
2. Stockpile soil for earth mounds shal be placed in
permanent location and graded to finish shape.
