Subject: Report on Northern Beach Clean-Up Event
Recommended Action
Receive a report on the beach clean-up event held on the city controlled northern beach on
Saturday, Oct. 2, 2021.
Discussion
A total of 24 volunteers joined the Beach Preservation Commission and city staff to participate
in a beach cleanup event along the city’s north beach and contributed over 47 hours of service
time. Patrons also received environmental educational material about the Carlsbad
watersheds and actions they take to be good environmental stewards to our beaches. Many of
the beach goers came to staff and commissioners saying thank you for putting this event
together and that they appreciated all the efforts.
