A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CARLSBAD,
CALIFORNIA, MODIFYING ONE MEMBER'S TERM ON THE TRAFFIC &
MOBILITY COMMISSION TO COINCIDE WITH THE TRANSITION PLAN
ESTABLISHED BY CITY COUNCIL RESOLUTION NO. 2018-178

WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Carlsbad, California, adopted City Council Resolution
2018-178 on Sept. 25, 2018; and
WHEREAS, the nominating Councilperson in District 1 appointed Steve Linke to fill the initial
district appointment term; and
WHEREAS, City Council Resolution No. 2019-015 states this appointment ends Feb. 2023; and
WHEREAS, the transition plan established by City Council. Resolution No. 2018-178 states that
the initial district appointment term ends December 2022; and
WHEREAS, Commissioner Steve Linke's term needs to be modified to coincide with the
transition plan established by City Council Resolution No. 2018-178.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Carlsbad, California, as
'
follows:
1. That the above recitations are true and correct.
2. That the term for Commissioner Steve Linke is modified to coincide with the transition
· plan established by City Council Resolution No. 2018-178 and will end December 2022.
3. That the next term as indicated in City Council Resolution No. 2018-178 will be a four-
year term and end December 2026 to coincide with the District 1 Council Member's
term ..
