They are listed by UL for central station, local, auxiliary, and remote station systems. Adding the D7039 Muitiplex Eipansion Modules to the D7024 Conventional FireAlarm Control Panels (FACPs) with version 2.02 or higher firmware makes the FACPs addressable with up to 255 add-ressat-12 points. The FACPs support both two-wire and four-wire detectors. Each FACP has a built-in digital fire alarm communicator transmitter (DACT) and four on-board detection zone; that can be expanded to eight zones. Each zone can support up to 2C two-wire detectors, or any number of fc-ur-wire detectors (depending on available power). Functions Notification Appliance Circuits (NACs) Two notification appliance circuits (NAC) provide up to 4 A of 24 VDC power to operate horns, strobes, bells, and other notification appliances. Each NAC can be programmed to provide Temporal Code 3, steady, pulsed, and synchronized output for Wheelocktm and Gentex' notification appliances. User Interface A viewing port in the keyed panel enclosure door leaves the system status LEDs and LCD display visible while maintaining system keypad security. Unlocking the enclosure door provides access to the system keys for silencing alarm and trouble conditions, zone bypassing, detector resetting, testing, other fire functions, and programming. These functions are also available on all D7033 Liquid-crystal Display (LCD) Keypads connected to the system. All D7036 Liquid-crystal Display (LCD) Annunciators provide custom text annunciation on a 32-character, backlit, two-line LCD display. All system keypads and annunciators have built-in sounders. Back-light intensity and sounder volume are programmable. Personal Identification Numbers (PINs) There are 100 PINs available for accessing system control. Assign each number an authority level to limit the system control functions that can be accessed. I 11 I I I I BOSCH 2 1 D7024 Addressable Fire Alarm Control Panels History Buffer The system stores events in a 499-event history buffer. Central Station Reporting The D7024 FACPs report to two telephone numbers with full single, double, and backup reporting and communicate in BFSK, SIA, Contact ID, Modem lila2, and 4/2 and 3/1 Tone Bursts. CleanMe® Compatible The D7024 FACP recognizes the CleanMe signal from Bosch's F220 Smoke Detectors. If a detector's smoke chamber gets dirty, the detector sends a signal on the two-wire loop and the control panel annunciates that there is a dirty detector on the loop. Accessories The D7024 enclosure has space for additional accessory modules and two D1218 batteries or two D126 batteries. Multiplex Fire Alarm Pull Station Specifications SIM Features D7045 Single Action Pull Station Use with D7024 Series Fire Alarm Control Panels with D7039 Multiplex Bus Module Easy Addressing via Rotary Switches Low Current Draw Keylock Reset Replaceable Glass Breakrod Option Terminal Connections ADA Compliant UL Listed Description The Radionics' D7045 Multiplex Fire Alarm Pull Station is a single action, UL listed fire alarm initiating device. The D7045 has an easily identifiable pull down lever and contains an integral break glass rod carrier. The D7045 is compatible with the following accessory devices: D463 Double Action Lift Kit D464 Red, Deep Back Box D465 Glass Break Tubes The unit is a high quality manual fire alarm box constructed entirely of non-toxic materials with a low profile and rounded edges to fit most design applications. All components are prepainted or have plated surfaces to inhibit corrosion. Non- corroding screw terminals are provided for wire connections to the D7045. The D7045 is manufactured in conformance with the standards set forth in the Americans with Disabilities Act. The D7045 has a white pull down lever in its center. Pulling down the lever latches it into place. The D7045's normally open contact switch is shorted causing an alarm on the fire initiating loop. The pull down lever can not be reset unless the correct key is inserted into the manual fire alarm box lock and the unit is opened. The latching lever can then be restored to its normal position. When the D7045 is being reset and has a glass break rod installed, all debris must be removed prior to installing another rod to ensure the unit will close and lock securely. D7045 Manual Fire Alarm Pull Station Application The D7045 Manual Fire Alarm Pull Station is an accessory device for the Radionics D7024 FACP used in fire alarm applications. iire alarm boxes are generally installed near building fire exits such as lobbies or stairways. Persons evacuating the building during an emergency are able to initiate an alarm by pulling down a lever. This alerts others who may still be inside. Schools, factories, offices, and health care facilities ae typical applications. The snap lock feature of the D7045 prevents the unit from being reset withcut a key so the origin of the alarm can be more easily determined. Installation The Radionics' D7045 Manual Fire Alarm Pull Station is a UL listed fire alarm initiating device. The D7045 is installed alone or with other approved mechanical devices on Radionics D7024 FACP. Fire alarm boxes must be installed according to cocos set by the authority having jurisdiction. Failure to follow these instructions may result in failure of the device to operate properly. Radionics is not responsible for improperly installed, tested or maintained devices. These instructions contain procedures to follow in order to avoid personal injury and damage to equipment. WARNING 0 Test the D7045 and the FACP in accordance with NFPA 72. IMPORTANT 2.0 Device Description The D7045 Multiplex Addressable Manual Pull Station is a UL Listed fire alarm initiating device. It can be connected along with other Multiplex devices on the D7039 Multiplex Expansion Module. The D7024 FACP supervises the entire multiplex loop, including the D7045, for troubles, alarms and ground fault conditions. Since the D7045 occupies only one address on the multiplex bus, the module can be addressed for any point within the 9 - 255 range allowed by the D7039 Multiplex Expansion Module. The D7045 is generally installed near building exits such as stairways and doors, allowing persons evacuating the building to activate the fire alarm. It is equipped with glass break rods and keylock resets to allow easy identification of alarm activation point. 3.0 Operating the D7045 The D7045 (single-action) Multiplex Addressable Manual Pull Station is a UL Listed fire alarm initiating device. A factory-installed multiplex single zone input module is connected to each pull station. Rotary switches are provided for convenient address setting. These switches eliminate the need for an external programmer. The D7045 is a single-action device with a white pull-down lever in its center. The lever is easily accessible to persons standing or in wheelchairs. Pulling down on the lever breaks the glass rod. The lever then latches in the down position and a short appears on the built-in multiplex point. The short generates an alarm at the multiplex point, which then trips the fire alarm control panel (FACP). The lever cannot be reset until the proper key is inserted in the lock. This feature allows emergency personnel to determine the source of the alarm. The D705ODH is designed for use with the D343 Duct Smoke Detector Housing. The patented chamber design provides superior immunity to false alarms caused by dust. The detector is designed for use with commercial and household fire warning systems. An LED indicator flashes to verify that the detector has power and the smoke sampling circuitry is functioning. When properly installed using the D7050-136 base or the D343 Smoke Detector Housing, tamper protection is. provided by multiplex wiring. This causes the control panel to initiate a trouble signal when a detector is removed from its base. Application The D7050 Series smoke detectors are intended for detection circuits installed in areas where personnel are present. Heat detectors are appropriate for circuits that supervise property. The D7050 Series Photoelectric Smoke Detectors are designed to detect large smoke particles. The DYOSOTH which has an added fixed temperature sensor, expands the detector application to confined areas where a fire increases air temperature slowly and where there is a substantial increase in air temperature before the fire breaks confinement, such as furnace rooms, closets, and other confined areas. The D705ODH Photoelectric Smoke Detector is designed to detect smoke particles in air ducts when used with the D343 Duct Smoke Detector Housing. D7050 Series Smoke Detectors Installation Radionics smoke and heat detectors are compound devices. The detector base installs over a back box and contains all the wiring. The detector head attaches to the base by aligning the head with the base and turning it clockwise. No tools are required for installation other than the hex key used to tighten the tamper screw. Install, test and maintain these devices according to their Installation Guides, NFPA 72, Local Codes and the Authority Having Jurisdiction. ARENE Senior Deputy Program Manager NOTIFIER® FIRE SYSTEMS A PITTWAY COMPANY GENERAL The HD-600 Heat Detector is attractive, durable, and fea- tures combination rate-of-rise and fixed-temperature de- tectors. Heat detectors are available in 135°F (57°C) and 200°F (94°C) temperature ratings. Rate-of-rise elements detect heat by quickly responding to rapid temperature increase. HD-600 detectors use the same reliable pneumatic rate-of-rise element used in former models, but offer added aesthetic appeal. The pneumatic rate-of-rise element responds to a rapid rise in tempera- ture, approximately 15°F (8°C) per minute, by expansion of air within the sealed chamber faster than it can escape through a calibrated vent. The resultant increase in pres- sure depresses the diaphragm, causing the electrical con- tact to close the circuit. HD-600 rate-of-rise units have a wide spacing allowance of 50-foot (15.24-meter) centers. See Specifications table (page 2) for details. Fixed-temperature elements react to heat by responding to a specific temperature setting. The fixed-temperature element uses a fusible alloy. When activated, the external heat collector drops away to provide quick visual confirma- tion that the element has operated. The units protrude only 1-3/8 (34.925 mm) from the ceil- ing surface with a junction box mounting. They have pleas- ing contours and an all-white finish that conforms to ceiling aesthetics. FEATURES Rate-of-rise and fixed-temperature. One- or two-circuit, normally open. Easy installation. Low-profile design. Visual indication. Operation testing. A 1/4° (6.35 mm) space between detector and mounting surface allows for wire connections. All mounting screws are concealed. The detector attaches simply to the mounting plate with a push and twist motion. No special tools are required. The mounting plate is molded of white self-extinguishing thermoplastic rated at 105°C.
