Recommended Action
Discuss and approve location and time for September and November 2021 meetings.
Executive Summary/Discussion
As the region and the city emerges from the COVID-19 pandemic, the Historic Preservation Commission
may elect to return to in-person meetings either at the next meeting or at the expiration of the
Governor's executive order which permitted virtual public meetings. Currently, the executive order
expires September 30. The Historic Preservation Commission could therefore decide to return to in-
person meetings at either the September or November meeting. The commission may also elect to
adjust the start time of the September and November meetings. The commission has historically met at
either 5, 5:30, or 6 p.m. During the public health situation, there was a request to follow City Council
and other Boards and Commissions and meet virtually during traditional working hours and to cancel
meetings when possible. As such, the 2021 meeting schedule for the Historic Preservation Commission
adjusted to a 4 p.m. start time and virtual teleconference meetings.
Next Steps
Post adjusted schedule of remaining 2021 meetings in appropriate locations.
